As we begin a new year at school let’s vow together not to waste this year but instead to use it for God. So many of you may know this but let me let you in on a few changes that you’ll notice with the Student Discipleship Ministry beginning in September. For the next few months I will share some random and not so random lessons that I’ve learned over the course of my very short life so far. In this blog, I wish to share the most important lesson I think I’ve learned this far: that God is serious. “One Choice” is part of the Follow series through the Sermon on the Mount. In this section Jesus draws a line in the sand for His followers to show them that they are either one His side completely or against Him completely. “How to Pray” is part of the Follow series through the Sermon on the Mount. In this section Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray. On Wednesday nights in June we are looking at the early church and what made them so effective. Their key to success was their true fellowship together. We are looking at the four things they did to create unity in a series entitled The 4 Pillars of the Youth Group. In this session we discussed that whatever the early church did, they did it together. Real Faith is part of the Follow series through the Sermon on the Mount. In this section, Jesus warns against a hypocritical faith/religion.
